About Pensight
We are a seed stage London startup with a mission to build infrastructure for independent online educators. We have just launched the early version of our platform and have raised a $3M seed round to build and scale it further. At Pensight we are obsessed with independent online creators (youtubers, podcasters, teachers, coaches) and want to help them make a living interacting with their followers and communities.
You may have heard about the booming creator economy and the idea of 1000 true fans (if you have a 1000 true fans who give you $10 a month, you can make $120k a year and be a full-time creator) but what you might not have heard is that currently only the top few percent of creators make any meaningful income.
We are helping the smaller creators thrive by allowing people such as Jordan (https://pensight.com/x/jordan-hardgrave) make money by simply talking to their followers and answering their questions. Jordan has a YouTube channel with 25,500 subscribers but before Pensight he made almost no income from YouTube itself. Since we onboarded him he has made over six figures. With over 50M creators just on the top platforms, there are thousands of Jordans out there who need this service too.
Broad objectives
- Helping grow and engage the Pensight Community
- Attracting a community via growth experiments, analysing their efficacy
- Building social media accounts and facebook group for the community and engaging with it daily
- Creating new growth initiatives to attract more people into our communities
- Creating content for the community
- Creating attention-grabbing social content, scheduling and publishing it across multiple social media channels
- Organising and running webinars
- Being a point of contact for customer relations
- Identifying new communication channels and evaluating existing ones
- Being engaging, responsive, and of-the-moment to create viral and shareable moments
- Working closely with the Head of Growth and Community Manager to convert community into paying users
- Mapping out the customer journeys
- Running marketing experiments that result in signups
- Building and managing automations

- Social Media Management
- Repurposing videos and text into engaging content for our communities on various channels including Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter and more
- Content & SEO
- Brainstorming, planning and writing to build out our organic text content and working on external SEO through link-building and other activities which boost domain authority
- Partnerships
- Researching, reaching out to, negotiating and forming partnerships with desirable and influential relevant individuals and corporates
- Copywriting
- Creating copy for landing pages and lead magnets according to target audiences, product features, and stages of the customer journey
- Growth hacking & prospecting
- Discovering and implementing scalable ways to find and reach out to prospects from a variety of platforms
